61191 vintage Persian Heriz rug, 10'02 x 13'04. With its timeless style, incredible detail and texture, this hand knotted wool vintage Persian Heriz rug is a captivating vision of woven beauty. The sophisticated design and traditional color palette woven into this piece work together creating a truly Classic look. The abrashed red field features a large lobed center medallion anchored with flaming palmette pendants at either end. A variety of geometric botanical motifs surround the medallion in an intricate arrangement of palmettes, serrated leaves, boteh, buds and blooms. Stepped corner spandrels echo the designs of the medallion and field, while a line of boteh along the edges connect the spandrels. A traditional Herati border creates the perfect enclosure. With its complex design unified by the repetition of colors and traditional sensibility, this vintage Heriz rug would add style and panache to nearly any space. Rendered in variegated shades of red, navy blue, ruby red, beige, dark pink, brown, teal, rose, and ink blue with other accent colors. Abrash. Hand knotted wool. Made in Iran.
