Vintage Persian Kilim Runner in Blue, Brown, Green, Yellow, Pink
About the Item
Vintage Persian Kilim (flat woven) runner has a brilliant geometric design and wonderful colors. Beautiful Persian kilim runner is from the city of Qazvin in central Persia which was a major stop on the ancient Silk Road. The allover design is a stylized flower bud pattern in beautiful colors. The Persian Qazvin kilim design is a variation of the paisley form set in different colors and arranged into a series of connected medallions. The primary color is brown with designs in green, pink, blue, and beige. Because the runner is flat-woven it can be used on either side. The Varamin kilims are some of the most sought-after kilims from Persia. It has a very mid-century modern design format and can be incorporated into any interior design project including cottage, country, or cabin design plans.
Customization: Resizing and Refinishing service is available for this item upon request. This includes reducing the size and refinishing it with a choice of colors for sides and end binding to give it a clean and finished look while protecting the runner while in use.

- Vintage Square Size Persian Sofreh Tribal Kilim in Brown, Navy, Pink, YellowLocated in Barrington, ILA very rare Persian sofreh tribal Kilim from the mid 1900s. The handwoven tribal kilim is from the Qashqai tribes in Southwest Persia. It is a very desirable square-size tribal kilim with natural organic dyes. The sofreh kilim was mostly woven by the tribes for their own use and therefore the number of such items is extremely limited. It would be used mainly at mealtime to put the serving dishes on them and the folks would sit around it. It would not be walked on and therefore it would stay clean and in good condition for an extended period. It is a beautiful piece of functional tribal weaving and is in wonderful condition.
