A beautiful Persian Malayer gallery or library rug from the 4th quarter of the 1800s in an all-over design with an abrash navy blue field color. The rug has a wonderfully large format geometric pattern on an abrash navy blue color background. The field is framed with a colorful border set in red color with geometric designs in blue, pink, pale yellow, green, red, and brown connected via straight lines. The corner spandrels are also in a rust-red color with a Herati design in baby blue, pink, green, and red. Because of its special size and design, it would be a great addition as a library rug or as a gallery/ corridor rug.
