These remarkable flat-weave Mazandaran Kilims are impeccably constructed from hand-woven wool kilim panels, handmade by the women of the nomadic tribes that populated the mountainous northern region of Persia. They were used for mats, blankets, wall décor, insulation for the home and some were included in dowries.
