Vintage Persian Shiraz Yalameh Runner in Allover Geometric Pattern in Red, Ivory

About the Item

A beautiful vintage Persian Shiraz Yalameh tribal runner in a geometric allover pattern in red, ivory, and blue colors. The design consists of a single column of connected latch hook medallions in bright colors of yellow, and red set on a French blue background that run from one end to the other . Yalameh rugs have similar design to Qashqai tribal rugs but are more restrained in design and also use brighter colors. Yalameh rugs are woven around the city of Shiraz in SW Persia. The pastures and mountains in that area have traditionally been home for the Qashqai and Luri tribes and their weaving shows the environment around them.
