Vintage Persian Malayer area rug in an allover geometric pattern set on a midnight blue background with a French blue border and accents colors in pink, yellow, green, and red circa the early 1900s. The larger format design elements in the field have beautiful vibrant colors including French blue, green, red, pink , yellow and variation of those colors (abrash) that is a manifest of using natural organic vegetable dyes that over time gradually develop wonderful hues. The border has a meandering vine and flower design in pink, red, blue set in a rich French Blue color.
