Vintage Tabriz Pictorial Rug 2'1'' x 2'4''. Identical in size, weave, palette, subject and origin to 216 except that the figures are oriented toward the left instead of to the right. Any weaver or workshop can weave a pictorial, the only requirements being close knotting and a decent source, be it a book illustration, photograph, art form reproduction, print or drawing. . Picture rugs have always been a Persian specialty and a test of the artisan stechnical ability.
