About the Item
Carefully woven rag rug with elements of rabbit fur in the pattern. Beautiful vintage rag rug from the early 1960s. Rarely used, very good condition! Unique piece of handcraft. It´s in good condition, rarely used! Perfect handcraft.
Machine washable at 40 degrees.
Swedish rag rugs are part of Swedish cultural heritage. You can see them adorning the cottages in Astrid Lindgren's fantastic stories but also in today's modern homes. These rugs are an obvious part of Scandinavian interior design.
Beautiful carefully handwoven rugs in different colors and patterns. Made from recycled clothes, tablecloths and old sheets. When you look at the details of each rug, you can see that the weave is created from different fabrics, all recycled with great respect for the value of the materials.
For more than 250 years, these beautiful Swedish rag rugs have been used both in manor houses and cottages. Every weaver created the rugs based on the materials she had available. Expressions and weaving techniques were often passed down from mother to daughter.
