Mid-20th Century Ingrid Dessau Swedish Striped Handmade Rug
Size: 5'2" × 8'10" (157 × 269 cm).
This uncomplicated yet ingenious creation comes from the hands of an iconic Swedish designer - Ingrid Dessau. Although the signature of the author is not present in the main field, anyone can tell straight away that this piece was created by a gifted professional. Its minimalistic appearance is deeply embedded in the philosophy of Scandinavian design which promotes functionality, practicality, quality, simplicity and beauty based on inspirations coming from nature. The main field is adorned with delicate, flowing stripes in a balanced color palette featuring brown, blue and off-white.
