One-of-a-kind Geometric blue, pink, grey Swedish Rölakan by Kerstin Butler
Size: 6'7" x 10'6" (200 x 320 cm)
A Swedish handwoven wool rug in flat-weave rölakan technique, designed by Kerstin Butler. Monogrammed and dated at one end: KB 1966, SKLH (Södra Kalmar läns hemslöjd / the South Kalmar organization). SKLH was a craft society with active weaving programs in the early to mid-20th century.
All-over geometric design with mirrored angular shapes in blue, pink, and grey.
The rug is in excellent original condition, consistent with age.
Inspired by traditional Northern European crafts, culture, and nature, vintage Scandinavian rugs skillfully combine past with future.
