Vintage Shirvan Rug
About the Item
Vintage Shirvan rug 6'2'' x 9'5''. Look Turkish, but actually a masquerading vintage Caucasian with a red field with barbed sickle leaf corners around a cream hooked hexagonal sub-field with sinekli (flyspot) decoration and a hexagonal pale blue central medallion. Narrow rosette panels at field ends. Ivory zig-zag band and hooked red triangle border. Cotton foundation with a medium weave.
