"Loop Unito Mirò" is a contemporary sustainable rug realized in pure jute by G.T.DESIGN, Italian design company pioneer in the field of contemporary rug.
"Loop Unito Mirò" is a collection of ultra-thin rugs that rediscover a humble and dense material like jute and take advantage of solid colors to direct our gaze in space. This collection is the result of Deanna Comellini’s exploration of the evocative power of color and natural materials. G.T.DESIGN’s Founder and Creative Director focused on our emotional links to primary colors, playing with their contrasts in her abstract designs.
Hand-made in jute on traditional looms, for its natural crunchiness and pleasant rigidity, "Loop Unito Mirò" is ideal for holiday homes and modern interiors. Jute fibre retains some unique properties, as high-tenacity, sound and heat insulation property and antistatic property. Moreover, Jute 100% bio-degradable.
In a solid yellow color, "Loop Unito Mirò" creates a regenerating oasis perfect for enlightening the space and bringing a warming element to the environment.

About the designer:
Deanna Comellini is an artist and a designer.
For over 40 years, she has experimented by combining craftsmanship and industrial design while working first on product design and later on textiles. She has developed the notion of ‘imperfect design’, highlighting the minor flaws of materials and handmade products that make them unique and one-of-a-kind. In the 1990s, she focused on the concept of the contemporary rug and natural materials while innovating the industry with a new textile for interior design. In 1977, she founded G.T.DESIGN taking on the role of Creative Director. She participated in prestigious international exhibitions and collaborated with important architectural figures, including Toyo Ito and the Zaha Hadid Architects studio.
Deanna Comellini was named one of the 100 Most Influential Women by Forbes Italy in 2022.

She also uses modern technical yarns such as viscose to give an incomparable sheen and color depth to the Kama rug, among the company’s bestselling products and a trend setter in the industry. In addition, she works alongside international architects and interior designers on custom made rugs for residential and commercial projects.
