About the Item
Hand knotted in wool originating from one of our most reputed long-standing partner looms in Nepal, this addition to the European Collection by Rug & Kilim recaptures the sensibilities of inspiration Spanish rug patterns affectionately dubbed “Cortez” in this 3 x 12 edition of the custom design. A tasteful abrash in the field background both brings out the rich crimson red geometry as well as exemplifies the subtle variations of green between the field background and border pictorials, juxtaposing the aforementioned variations with cream and pink hues against black meandering geometry creating this depthful look in a surprising scale unique to our approach; ideal for stairway runner and hallway runner projects seeking a graceful European rug style with arresting geometry. The uniquely quiet tribal attitude in the elegance of this design can’t be understated in the versatility, collectibility, and value of this rug to both collectors and interior designers alike.
