Size: 7'10" × 11'7" (238 × 353 cm).
Who has not heard of the one and only Salvador Dali? His quirky genius continues to inspire artists throughout the world, so it’s no wonder that numerous weavers are also under his surrealistic charm. This particular piece, handwoven from the highest quality wool, looks as if it was found in Dali’s atelier. The pattern consists of seemingly random splashes of color spread all-over the background. Although this composition looks chaotic, a closer look reveals some resemblance of order. The colors themselves are rather subdued and cold-toned, but it does not take away any of the abstract rug’s vast charm, on the contrary, such a palette makes the modern rug appear more original. Such modern piece would look best in an equally modern setting, however, Minimalist interiors will undoubtedly love it too.
