About the Item
"In-Canto Forte" is a modern expression of a luxury rug with a light yet seductive weave and an elegant striped motif.
Made on artisanal looms with a modern manual weaving technique developed by G.T.DESIGN through years of textile research and experimentation, the collection combines the shimmering properties of top-quality viscose fiber and the resistant jute yarn. The plush weave captures the light giving an unparalleled tactile and visual experience while seamlessly blending in its surrounding.
"In-Canto Forte" is only 8 mm thick, a lightweight yet highly resistant rug with a classic and contemporary design, bringing a minimalist touch and lightness to traditional interiors and softens and embellishes modern environments.
"In-Canto Forte", in the color Rose, a dusty pink color, is a vegan and sustainable rug produced with natural fibers that don’t cause deforestation and uses non-toxic and azo-free dyes.

Deanna Comellini is an artist and a designer.
For over 40 years, she has experimented by combining craftsmanship and industrial design while working first on product design and later on textiles. She has developed the notion of "imperfect design", highlighting the minor flaws of materials and handmade products that make them unique and one-of-a-kind. In the 1990s, she focused on the concept of the contemporary rug and natural materials while innovating the industry with a new textile for interior design. In 1977, she founded G.T.DESIGN taking on the role of Creative Director. She participated in prestigious international exhibitions and collaborated with important architectural figures, including Toyo Ito and the Zaha Hadid Architects studio.
In 2022 she has been selected by Forbes as one of the “100 Most Influential Italian Women of the year”.

In addition, she works alongside international architects and interior designers on custom made rugs for residential and commercial projects.
