"Campi di Gravità" [Gravity Fields] "Rosso Vivo 2" is a limited edition piece by designer Deanna Comellini, art director of Italian contemporary rug design brand G.T.DESIGN.
This signature red and brown rug is created using a first quality, hand-spun viscose fiber, which gives to the piece an incomparable sheen and color depth. "Campi di Gravità" captures the light and reflects it through its weave.
The project "Campi di Gravità" is fruit of the personal research of G.T.DESIGN’s Founder and Creative Director Deanna Comellini, which has evolved from design to artistic reflection.
"Campi di Gravità Rosso Vivo 2", is a modern rug with a timeless elegance that will take center stage in any space. It perfectly matches the preciousness of marble pavings yet is also suitable for concrete and parquet floorings. Measures: 70x240 cm.
About the designer:
Deanna Comellini is an artist and a designer.
For over 40 years, she has experimented by combining craftsmanship and industrial design while working first on product design and later on textiles. She has developed the notion of ‘imperfect design’, highlighting the minor flaws of materials and handmade products that make them unique and one-of-a-kind. In the 1990s, she focused on the concept of the contemporary rug and natural materials while innovating the industry with a new textile for interior design. In 1977, she founded G.T.DESIGN taking on the role of Creative Director. She participated in prestigious international exhibitions and collaborated with important architectural figures, including Toyo Ito and the Zaha Hadid Architects studio.
Deanna Comellini was named one of the 100 Most Influential Women by Forbes Italy in 2022.
