About the Item

This 4 x 6 rug joins the European collection by Rug & Kilim-drawing inspiration from a traditional Spanish floral pattern affectionately dubbed “Bilbao” among the recent additions to this line. Hand knotted with a blend of quality wool and silk, the natural luster of the latter material creates a light-and-dark play with the sense of movement, bringing out the skillful transition of the rich gold and red florals into the metallic silver-gray notes against the beige background. The stylistic subtlety of the green curvilinear patterns further complements this movement with a level of control seldom seen in this remarkable attention to detail; a cultured look of a European rug achieved by one of our most reputed long-standing partner looms in Nepal.
