Finnish Flat-Weave Carpet, 1930s
About the Item
A beautiful functionalist period Finnish flat weave carpet. Hand made in the 1930s with great resemblance to or possibly by the renowned Finnish textile artist Greta Skogster-Lehtinen.
The rug is sizable at 250x300 and is in good condition considering the age. There are small wear spots, but nothing major or noticable. The geometrical motifs are typical of the functionalist period and were widely used by carpet designers.
