In the distance, a backdrop of mountains, French Country Chalet, and a plentiful forest create a Classic verdure landscape scene. Various elements of nature including trees and dense foliage surround the lake creating a well-balanced composition allowing the viewer to absorb the depth of the artist’s work. It is enclosed by an ornate acanthus border. Drawing inspiration from a verdure tapestry called “Verdure with Pine Tree and Swans”, this Italian tapestry embodies Renaissance style.
