Scandinavian Modern Wool Flat-Weave "Rollakan" Rug by Anna Greta Sjöqvist

About the Item

Handwoven rug in kelim technique by Swedish textile artist Anna-Greta Sjöqvist. She was born in 1908 and died in 1993, she had her own weaving mill in Sösdala in Hässleholm. Röllakanmatta is a traditional type of carpet, with a long history in Sweden. They are often woven with traditional patterns. Röllakanmatta are very durable. Wool repels dirt, so it is easy to wipe away stains. This carpet is dry-cleaned.
