Vintage Spanish Oushak Rug, circa 1930

About the Item

This carpet is hand woven in spain. The technique of early spanish carpets differ radically from that of the carpets of other lands. The single-warp technique makes this carpet have smooth diagonal lines instead of perfectly even vertical lines. The blue/green field of the carpet is decorated with vases in beige and orange terracotta with the same colors on the border. No restorations were found on this carpet and in full /plush pile this rug is in mint condition. Measures: 8'2" x 7'6".
