About the Item

A lullaby of the wind Rug with abstract monochrome composition of light shades: beige and gray-blue colors merge like air currents. The pattern of swirls, as if carrying snow and grains of sand, is emphasized by the change of pile height and carving – special technique to emphasize the lines of pattern on the pile. The texture of the rug consists of sections knotted from pure Tibetan wool with inclusions of silk, thus playing with the light as the silk reflects it and shimmers. Unity of color and form The natural fiber of wool and silk in the hands of a master of hand knotting is a way to translate the idea of the designer. Such a variety of techniques and tricks - different pile heights, alternating types of loops, carving - is a laborious process, thanks to which the texture becomes an active participant in the visual.
