1930s Bentwood Armchair by Jindrich Halabala
About the Item
Classic black bentwood combines with reupholstered white bouclé in this iconic design by J. Halabala. The chair’s curving legs and bentwood armrests dream up the dynamism of the piece. Contemporary fabric was chosen to enhance the sumptuous shape of the seat, the softness of white boucle effortlessly conforms to the geometry of the seat and backrest. This early ‘type-C’ chair design was produced circa 1930, and flaunts playful contrasts of color, texture and shape.
