1950's Mid-Century Dutch Modern Armchairs - a Pair

About the Item

We have a pair of original 1950's Mid-century Modern Gispen armchairs for sale. They were designed by William H. Gispen in the late 1950's, and were manufactured in The Netherlands. They are original, and have been professionally reupholstered in Maharam's "Mode" line in orange. The chairs are in the manner of Ray and Charles Eames for Herman Miller, and have a wonderful design and style. They're well constructed, and have an aluminum frame with black tips on the legs are black finished armrests. The orange fabric is a wonderful textured tweed by Maharam, and goes beautifully with the frames of the chairs! These would make wonderful accent chairs, side chairs, desk chairs, dining chairs, armchairs, or corner chairs. The arm height is 27 1/2"

    Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. Chairs have the original finish in excellent condition, and have been cleaned and polished. The fabric has been reupholstered with new fabric and foam.
