19th Century Black French Set of Six Painted Beech Os Du Mouton Dining Chairs
About the Item
A black, antique French set of six os du mouton (sheep bone) dining room chairs, composed with two armchairs and four side chairs made of hand crafted painted Beechwood, in good condition. The Parisian corner chairs have a slightly curved tall backrest, standing on four arched legs, supported by a "H" stretcher, enhanced by detailed wood carvings and fittings, particularized with brass nail heads. Newly upholstered in an antique hemp fabric. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1870 - 1890, Paris, France.
