This elegant pair of Viennese Biedermeier upholstered armchairs from c. 1825-30 are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
The beautiful upholstery emphasizes the deep amber shade of the walnut wood and 200 years old patina.
The chairs are raised on elegantly shaped feet. The chair's artfully profiled back and delicate armrests are an example of sophisticated Biedermaier design.
Pieces of such quality as this pair of Biedermeier armchairs are very rare and hard to find.
They sit well and are very comfortable. The pieces are in very good condition.
