About the Item
An impressive set of seven conference chairs in Amsterdamse School style, designed by Cornelis Blaauw for the School of Applied Arts in Haarlem around 1920.
They are made of beautiful quality wood with a warm brown finish. The chairs have a unique style, designed with an impressive eye for detail! They have elegant shapes with wonderful details as shown in the photos. This all adds tot he impressive style of the set, but they also have a great seating comfort. The seats are comfortably upholstered in beautiful quality green velvet, soft to the touch. The set was designed for the conference room of the School of Applied Arts in Haarlem.
The set contains six lowback chairs with a total height of 102 cm and one highback chair with a total height of 147 cm.
Their eye-catching Dutch Modernist style will make this set a fantastic addition to any decor!
The set remains in very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
