    Cadeira Chair by Macheia Handmade In Portugal. Dimensions: D 45 x W 45 x H 88 cm. Materials: Natural dried bulrush and galvanized iron. The chair’s concept is rooted in the notion that every spiral starts around a hand. The hole, the imprint of the creator’s hand, is here highlighted by the organically shaped metal back, pointing out where the chair begins. The rhythm of the metal elements of the chair is set by the stitches from the technique. The technique is seen through a new lens, raw and exposed, bringing it closer to its identity as a plant. The Collection zooms in the Bunho technique - a unique portuguese basketry technique that shapes the natural fiber Bulrush (Schoenoplectrus Palla), into a intricate mesh of knots and stitches.
