Antique Leather Wingback Arm Chair
About the Item
This leather chair is mid 19th century with just the most fantastic colour and patina to it. Bags of Character and texture. The wing-backed armchair was originally designed to keep out draughts and keep the warmth from fire in - today it is an interesting shape and a very comfortable armchair.
Please note that there has been a tear along one side as pointed out in the pictures. This has been glued from the inside and is actually good and sturdy - I have a video of me pressing on it which gives a good indication of the repair. The price is very much reflecting this. The right person could replace this section if required.
We have also added some lovely thick Ian Mankin fabric to the seat and the seat has been re-sprung.

- Condition:Additions or alterations made to the original: New upholstery. We have upholstered the seat in 'Ian Mankin' fabric. The seat has also been re-sprung. Reupholstered. Repaired: There has been a tear along one side as pointed out in the pictures. It has been glued from the inside and is actually good and sturdy. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. We have also added some lovely thick Ian Mankin fabric to the seat in-house and the seat has been re-sprung at some stage recently.
