Antique Scottish Regency Hand Carved Mahogany New Upholstered Armchair
About the Item
A beautiful Regency fauteuil or armchair that was made in Scotland, circa 1840.
Typically for Scottish furniture, it is made with superb timber and having a real pizazz to the design with good bold and deep carving.
The chair has typical Scottish turned and octagonal front legs. The back has a gorgeous carved top ornament and is flanked by two turned columns with finials on top. The chair has been reupholstered in a neutral anthracite or black fabric. It has the original finish with good patination.
