Art Deco Rustic vintage armchair from ash designed and executed in Vienna, circa 1925 design attributed to Oskar Strnad. This beautiful armchair shows a frame from solid turned ash wood in a warm brown color also the seat features a sisal cord woven mesh. A beautiful pieces with rustic atmosphere from the gorgeous Viennese Art Deco period. Stable and very comfortable it would work and match very well with contemporary interiors as well as in country houses. Oskar Strnad ( 1879 - 1935 ) Austrian architect, designer and artistic personality Together with Josef Frank he characterized the Viennese School of Architecture and in the 1920s he was a pioneer, together with Josef Frank, for the theme Neues Wiener Wohnen in the interwar period. Oskar Strnad was responsible for many designs as furniture, ceramics and stage designs well as houses and flats. Especially to mention; Oskar Strnad designed in a studio community with Josef Frank and Oskar Wlach from 1914 - 1915 the gorgeous house for the author Jakob Wassermann in Vienna.
