George III Gainsborough Arm Chair in Mahogany, c. 1760
About the Item
The Mahogany frame rests atop four balanced cabriole legs, each with acanthus designs on the knee, and ending in carved pad feet. The upholstered seat is framed by open arms, each with a cushioned arm-rail, and tapering mahogany suppports featuring carved Rococo designs.
