Heavily Carved Lion Hairy Paw Feet Victorian Armchair Sky Blue Velvet George II

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely hand made in England antique Victorian armchair with heavily carved Lion’s hairy paw feet in the George II style This chair is really a statement piece, the solid walnut frame is hand carved all over, you have Lions hairy paw feet, Irish acanthus leaves, the absolute works, if this was an original George II piece is would be five times more expensive. As it is this is a later mid Victorian version so you have all the charm and character without the horrific price tag The upholstery is vintage, it has a nice faded English country house look and feel to it, very comfortable and looks good in any setting The timber has been cleaned waxed and polished from top to bottom, the upholstery apart from a light hoover has been left original, it has some light patina marks to the back and as mentioned some fading Dimensions: Height 104cm, seat height 51cm Width 90cm Depth 98cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
