Jaime Hayon’s Low Lounger was developed in 2009. The Low Lounger wraps plush upholstery around a compact plywood shell. It embraces its environment on its four legs or swivels around its base. The structure is made of enduring materials that express Hayon’s attention to long-lasting, exceptional comfort within beautiful design.
Born in Madrid in 1974 and trained in industrial design, Jaime Hayon's creative talents know no bounds. Seamlessly transitioning between furniture and design objects, interior design, installations, sculptures and paintings, he crafts a narrative universe that is uniquely his own.
Hayon's work embodies his distinct perspective on the world — a whimsical yet insightful exploration of the human psyche. His deep-seated connection to art in every facet of his life is embodied in his zoomorphic, colourful, and folkloric pieces. Hayon offers a captivating glimpse into his imaginative realm. Like a 21st-century archaeologist, he examines and excavates recurrent themes of diversity, metamorphosis, and hybridisation to create a visual language that is accessible, intriguing, and instantly identifiable as Hayon.
