About the Item
Fine pair of 19th century french carved walnut armchairs circa 1870.
Beautifully carved pair of french armchairs of good large proportions. Carved mythical heads to the top of each arm, scrolling arms. Standing on lion paw front feet united by turned stretchers. Tapestry covering in good order, 1 chair more daylight faded than the other.
Originally these chairs would have had a front decorative rail, which are now no longer present.
Minor surface marks to woodwork, fading and expected wear to fabric.
