Pair of Charles X Velvet Painted & Parcel Gilt Armchairs, sourced by repute, David Easton. French Grey painted chairs with parcel gilding along edges, and reeding on front legs. Curved back with a gentle rolled back edge, arms scroll to front, back legs slightly splayed, front legs in a tapered parcel-gilt reeding. Upholstery is David Easton designed fabric for Cowtan & Tout, cut velvet.
Splits under arms, separation, loss to finish. General wear to finish and needing reupholstery.
