Pair of French Carved Walnut Bergère Armchairs
About the Item
Pair of French carved walnut bergère armchairs have upholstery framed with brass stud work all around. The arms are carved with beadwork, a spiral ribbon, and leaf and flower designs carved in high relief. They also have carved ribbing and a carved floral rosette capping the ends of each arm. The arms are supported by carved barley twist columns, and the legs also have barley twist carving. The crest rails are carved with interlacing ribbon and floral motif. The apron has repeating ribbon on the front and sides.
