Pair of French 1920s Solid Wenge Modernist Club Chairs

About the Item

A rare and exquisite pair of French Modernist/Art Deco club lounge chairs, crafted by hand around the 1920s, stands out for their solid wenge wood construction. These chairs, potentially one of a kind, present a distinctive fusion of minimalist design and rustic charm, making them a sophisticated addition to any interior. Measuring 82cm in height, 66cm in width, and 82cm in depth, with a seat height of 40cm, these remarkable chairs boast an angular frame crafted from solid wood. The framed back panel retains its original leather, while the seat features a loose cushion with new foam for exceptional comfort. Although the original wire coil and horsehair-filled cushions have been replaced with brand new cushions (photo available upon request), these chairs maintain their appeal. Suited for a minimalist modern rustic interior, they align with the aesthetics of the French colonialist design movement. Despite being in good vintage condition with general wear, embossing on the wood arms, and age-related wood separation, these chairs are both structurally sound and substantial in weight. This presents an exceptional opportunity to own a truly unique and elegant pair of French Modernist club lounge chairs. Elevate your space with these timeless statement pieces and immerse yourself in the unparalleled beauty and craftsmanship of early 20th-century design. Additional photos or videos can be provided upon request.
