A stunning pair of French Louis XVI style painted armchairs or fauteuils with "caps de gendarmes" detailing, tapered fluted legs, and having lovely French black and white re-editioned toile upholstery with gimp trim. The toile pattern, America Paying Homage to France (L'Homage d'Amérique à la France), was originally designed by Jean-Baptiste Huet (c. 1783-1789).
