Pair of Midcentury Maple Brass and Fabric Austrian Armchairs, 1960
About the Item
Characteristic and precious Italian armchairs in black lacquered beech, with little copper inserts, all married with a beautiful white and silver fabric.
The armchairs have a light beech wood frame, which has been well polished in black shellac. Four well-turned legs are at the top of a cross, a cross which acts as a junction, underneath the seat. The curved backrest is positioned at the apex of the four turned legs, and also acts as a joint. The seat has been covered with a very soft cream-white fabric, which has silver-colored stitching inside. Simple and linear, the armchairs welcome a person's seat very well.
