A Pair of Victorian Howard and Sons Open Armchairs, Circa 1900
About the Item
Each with turned walnut legs, and turned walnut supports under the armrest, upholstered in white calico with deep button-back detailing and horsehair stuffing. The brass castors stamped 'HOWARD AND SONS', and the back legs stamped 'HOWARD AND SONS' and numbered.
Deep button-back upholstery, in white calico. The chairs are supported by a sturdy walnut frame, embellished with brass castors, and filled with plush horsehair stuffing.
