Pale Gray Louis XVI Barrel back Bergere Embroidered Silk Armchair Minton Spidell
About the Item
Louis XVI Barrelback Bergere embroidered silk armchair by Minton-Spidell.
French painted and decorated Bergere chair by Minton Spidell. Down seat cushion with finely carved details. 18th-century French style design. A gorgeous piece like new by designer Minton-Spidell. The frame consists of carved wood in a giltwood gold sheen. Giltwood is on the frame, arms, legs and a crossbar on the back. The front features silk embroidered custom floral fabric in a light gray or blue with light pastel pink floral details on a blue-gray silk background. The removable seat cushion is in a sturdy complimentary color fabric with piping around the edges. The back of the armchair features striped fabric also in complementary colors. The top of the piece features a giltwood carved design. Legs are carved into columns with intricate design. The arms have a small upholstered cushion in an ostrich print. The bottom includes the original tag.
This chair would be a wonderful addition to any bedroom, living room, or in a foyer next to a console table. (See the other console tables that we have available in our other listings. We have a wonderful set of Minto Spidell matching tables that would make a great accent to this chair.)
