Rare Pair of Chairs by Gastone Rinaldi Model Du 41 Rima, in White Bouclè
About the Item
Rare pair of two small armchairs designed by Gastone Rinaldi for the Rima manufacture in the 1950s. The pair of armchairs is the Du 41 model, also known as the Luna Model Note: published as "Luna" by Zanotta in 1995). The pair of armchairs has recently been reupholstered in soft, enveloping and elegant white Bouclè fabric. While the frame is in its original period condition and has light scratches in its black painted metal body. Note its feet formed by tiny brass saucers. Its geometric but at the same time enveloping and soft shapes lend elegance and contemporary feel to the chairs. Its line gives a pleasant effect of modernity and rigor given by its tubular frame with geometric lines. The bouclé lends elegance and comfort to the seat. The Du 41 model is also called the Luna model because of its wedge-shaped line ( when the moon is partly lit). Armchairs are a great element of Italian design and is ideal for minimal environments or those with great aesthetic taste for design.
