Set of 4 French Art Deco Beige Velvet & Black Satin Beech Armchairs, Circa 1940

About the Item

Set of four armchairs from the late Art Deco period in the style of André Arbus. Lacquered in a semi gloss black color, circa 1940. The chairs have been recently reupholstered in a beige velvet fabric. The details of the wood frame are sophisticated and elegant, especially the details of their backrest curved angles. The armrests have a nice and slightly curved shape. The spindle-shape of the legs gives the armchairs a very harmonious design.
