Set of Four Armchairs of the Late 1800
About the Item
Set of four armchairs of the late 1800 in the style of the sixteenth century. The armchairs are mede in solid walnut, with straight armrest and all round turned spool sleepers. The feet are cantilevered with a lion’s foot decoration. They feature a flame embroidered upholstery fixed with studs on the seat and the back.
The furniture of the late renaissance phase (16th century) is massive, pure in line, harmonious in decoration with carvings generally bas-relief and moldings protruding.
Nowadays this type of armchairs can be used in important dining rooms, living rooms, studios as well as in luxury stores and representative spaces.
The items have been disinfected by woodworms.
They require restoration both of the wooden parts, that present light signs of time, and of the fabric part.
