Set of two model Siesta armchairs, designed by Carl Gustaf Hiort af Ornäs, manufactured by Hiort Tuote, 1950s. Marked. Stained birch legs. Reupholstered with quality Lauritzon's "Makalu" -fabric. Good vintage condition, minor patina consistent with age and use. The armchairs are sold as a set.
Carl-Gustaf Vilhelm "Nalle" Hiort af Ornäs was a Finnish interior designer who became famous in the 1950s/1960s for his armchairs and other living room furniture. His furniture was exhibited at the Milan Triennale in 1957.
