Vintage Italian Roman Spoon Back Chair In Olive Wood for Restoration
About the Item
Ca. 1960's. A finely carved Roman armchair after a Regency style with reeded olivewood frame overall. The elegant sloping arms with scrolled ends and curved supports. The hand-pulled cane seat with a separate striped fabric conforming cushion. Raised on sabre legs with brass capped feet.
H. 36", W. 22", Depth 28', seat H. 14" without cushion H. 16" with cushion
Condition: Frame restoration is recommended. There is an old repair to one of the arms clearly shown in the photos as well as sporadic nicks and scratches to the frame. There is an old scratch to the upper back panel as well as some scrapes and minor acceptable age related losses to the frame and legs (Please see detail photos), the brass caps with desirable aging and the Chair still retaining an elegant presentation.
