Walnut George II Style Claw and Ball Acanthus Carved Legs Chesterfield Armchair
We are delighted to offer this very rare George II style Chesterfield buttoned occasional armchair with ornate hand carved cabriolet legs which start with acanthus leaves and finish with claw and balls. An exquisite looking and very comfortable chair, its early Victorian circa 1840, possibly a little earlier, the frame is solid hand carved walnut, the design is quintessentially Georgian The condition is lovely, the fabric is in good order, the timber cleaned waxed and polished from top to bottom Dimensions: Height 92cm Width 75cm Depth 70cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
