'Antique Bench, Revisited'

About the Item

An antique salvaged bench upcycled and reworked by the artist/maker, Gu Yeli. In her hands abandoned or unloved chairs and benches, unceremoniously dumped in Shanghai’s maze of alleys, are transformed and revived with striking and distinctive fabric and wool embellishment to become a distinctive and witty original piece pointing the way to those around her to reassess the possibilities of the old and discarded.
