Cinch Black Woven Bridle Leather Bench
About the Item
Inspired by the utilitarian and timeless minimalism of the Shaker tradition, the Cinch bench fuses traditional timber frame joinery and classic leather working techniques. Shaped legs and pinned tenon joints are paired with woven oak bark tanned leather and wrapped Danish paper cord; creating an elegant and tactile chair that will develop a unique patina over time.
Oak bark tanned leather is made in Devon, UK and comes from one of the oldest tanneries in the world. It takes over 12 months to create each unique piece of leather. The liquorice black colour is aniline and tanned using only organic and natural materials. It is renowned for its inherent strength and beauty.
